What’s Ahead For NTXIA In 2025!
2024 was an extraordinary year for NTXIA. As an organization, last year was a year of many firsts and the achievement of many great milestones.
From launching five new programs to connecting with new members and partners and creating a stronger, more resilient North Texas region, we are working to continue this momentum into 2025.
This year we want to continue driving further connectivity and innovation through new projects and holistic programs that support our vision and the goals of our members and partners for the year. Together with our partners and members [and leveraging new AI tools alongside conversations and work sessions!], we have identified key themes for 2025 that will drive our organization to reach these goals, and of course, support the North Texas region along the way!
2025 THEMES
Economic & Workforce Development
The North Texas workforce is rapidly developing as new industries, such as AI, continue to take the technology industry by storm. Workforce development and talent pipeline initiatives are quickly evolving, impacting the job market and driving a high talent demand in multiple industries. Collaboration with educational institutions and industry leaders will be key to creating training programs and resources to continue supporting the growing workforce. At NTXIA, we want to ensure we can help organizations serve current and future workforce groups and create an advanced and knowledgeable generation of employees.
One of NTXIA’s goals for 2025 is to create interactive programs that will bridge the gap between public accessibility and skill growth and development for the region's workforce. Through these programs, NTXIA’s goal is to bring together partners to design a launch blueprint for regional workforce development. NTXIA will look to create programs that address the need not just for skill focus but also for financial alignment to better serve communities in the North Texas region. Tools including online dashboards, global Calls for Innovation, accelerator programs and more, are a consideration as the program blueprint develops.
Sustainability & Resilience
One of the most pressing areas to address are sustainability and resilience, and NTXIA will be focusing on two distinct and connected aspects in these areas. The first is the use of AI to address demanding global challenges like sustainable energy, water management, and environmental impact. The second will be to create a collaborative task force bringing together policymakers, business leaders, and community advocates to shape policies that promote equitable AI and sustainability practices.
With sustainability and resilience in mind, NTXIA is looking forward to working on new projects to continue adopting new smart city technologies and sustainable infrastructure that can withstand the various climate change impacts in the North Texas region. This also includes fostering AI industry growth while addressing the environmental impacts of this technology. Coalitions and incubator programs will be fundamental for fostering innovation in AI-driven sustainability projects and target the environmental challenges ahead including water conservation, renewable energy optimization, and waste reduction. NTXIA is looking forward to working with partners to better promote and advocate for AI and sustainability practices in 2025.
Getting to work!
Strategic Partnerships and Global Ecosystems
Partnerships are the heart of NTXIA. With various public and private sector partners, we have built an organization rooted in smart innovation and growth. In 2025, we are looking forward to expanding our network of partners across various industries including corporations, academia, nonprofits, and more. There is a shared belief that collaboration between businesses, academic institutions, nonprofits, and governments is crucial to building a sustainable ecosystem for innovation and workforce readiness. Our goal will be to continue bringing strategic partnerships to drive research, growth, and development in various spaces from AI and economic development. This focus includes the formation of joint task forces, mentorship networks, and collaborative innovation labs between universities, industry and the public sector.
As we move further into 2025, collaboration will be important to further innovation in the region through resource offerings, cross-jurisdictional implementation, and mentorship. Building a stronger ecosystem will be at the center of NTXIA as we continue to equip communities with the necessary skills and resources for sustainable technological development.
We are confident 2025 will be a year of growth and refinement to better facilitate discussions around smart cities, the development of collaborative, actionable projects, and the various sectors that continue to support our communities. Challenging the current structure will be fundamental in driving policy, advocacy, and catalysts for the future growth of the North Texas region.
We’re looking forward to sharing more as 2025 continues! Thank you to all of our members and partners for your continuous support – we are excited to see where the year takes us.
