In its first global challenge - startups will pitch onstage at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona for the chance to set up shop in Texas and Georgia. It’s just NTXIA and Curiosity Lab’s next cross-country and now cross-continent collaboration!
The SCGSC is hosted by NTXIA, Curiosity Lab, and Texas cities Frisco, McKinney and Fort Worth:

Finalists will be given passes to the SCEWC in Barcelona, where the final pitch will take place. Winners of the competition will be rewarded with travel, pilot and funding. Read the announcement for more details!
The 2024 Smart Cities Global Startup Challenge is focused on the future of transportation, sustainability and VRUs. Companies interested in participating will need to ensure their solutions address these key challenge areas, with a solution focused on the following:

Curb Management
Crowd management at large events: public safety and visitor experience
Heat Island Mitigation
Autonomous delivery systems
Resource Sustainability
Climate Resilience
