NTXIA Holds Q3 Immersive Innovation Series with RobotLAB
The North Texas Innovation Alliance and its members recently had the opportunity to visit the RobotLAB’s Innovation Lab as part of their Q3 Immersive Innovation Series. This quarter’s September visit took attendees into a deep dive of robotics and AI, including a live panel with key industry experts.
For more than 16 years, RobotLAB has provided innovative robotic solutions for education and diverse industries, transforming the way operators and students prepare for the future. Their revolutionary innovation has allowed them to offer comprehensive robotics solutions for a variety of industries, including banking, hospitality, healthcare, and retail. Attendees had the opportunity to take a closer look at the future of robotics and how AI ties into its development.
During the course of the visit, attendees were able to interact with RobotLAB’s various robotic solutions and hear more about the future of robotics from lively and key experts panel including:
Jay Johnson, Deputy Chief Counsel – Technology, Contracts and Brand Protection, Charles Schwab
Josh Parecki, Chief Compliance Office, Zoom
Ben Bhatti, President, Texas AI Association
Samuel King, R&D Integration Manager, RobotLAB
Experts and panel attendees closely discussed the many obstacles AI one of which Zoom’s Josh Parecki labeled “AI Hype Cycle.” Panelists also discussed access to AI and the challenges smaller companies face as AI takes technology innovation by storm. Speakers also dove into what is ahead for AI and how AI, much like previous innovative tech, is creating jobs for the new generation of workers.
Panelists discussed the importance of efficiency in AI and how AI in the long run will be an integral part of everyday technology. Panelists and attendees had fruitful and in depth discussion about their views and predictions on the AI movement.
NTXIA and panelists spoke about the gray ground around AI technology terms and privacy policies and the risks users will face, including lesser-known risks companies may also not know about. Data collection has been an increasingly key topic among users and panelists spoke to the topic of companies needing to take accountability and offer transparency to their users. The discussion ended with the use of AI in the public sector and how it can change communities, including its potential regional and national impact.
This was another fantastic event as part of our Immersive Innovation Series – thank you to RobotLABs, our panelists, and to our members and partners for your support. We are excited to continue these immersive field trips into 2025.
